At Shawyers, we take pride in supporting local communities by delivering high-quality groundwork and landscaping services that make a real difference. Our latest project at Boorley Green Allotments is a perfect example of this commitment.
Project Overview
The project, based at Wallace Avenue Allotments, Boorley Park, involved preparing 60 new allotment plots for local residents. Our team was tasked with creating a clean, well-marked, and easily accessible layout that will serve the community for years to come.

Scope of Works
The works carried out included:
- Marking out 60 individual allotment plots
Each plot was carefully measured and set out to ensure consistent sizing and alignment across the site with a GPS line marking robot. - Allowing for paths between the plots
Clearly defined pathways were incorporated to provide easy access and separation between plots, improving usability and maintenance. - Stripping and stacking turf
The turf was stripped from all 60 plots and neatly stacked in the corner of each, ready for council reuse or composting. - Preparation for turf cutting
Grass was cut down in advance to enable efficient turf removal and to leave the site tidy and ready for cultivation.

Supporting the Community
By creating these new allotment plots, our client is expanding opportunities for local residents to enjoy gardening, grow their own produce, and connect with nature. Shawyers is proud to have played a part in helping bring this community initiative to life.
Our Commitment
As with all our projects, this work was completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental responsibility. From planning through to completion, our team ensured minimal disruption and delivered the project efficiently and professionally.
